Approve Impacter Pathway as a Third-Party App for Google SSO

As of October 23, 2023, Google has added a new restriction against third-party applications for all users under 18 years old. You can read more about the changes here.


The video from Google below walks through how to configure third-party application settings. Written instructions are just below that, and an additional help article from Google is here. Please complete this at your earliest convenience. Otherwise, students will not be able to Sign In With Google.

Students at schools that have not completed these steps will receive the error message "Access blocked: Your institution's admin needs to review this app..."

  1. Sign In to the Google Admin Console 
  2. On the App access control card, click "Review apps"
  3. Locate Impacter Pathway, and click "Configure access" at right
  4. Select the organizational units you want to configure access for
  5. Click "Configure access"
  6. Select your desired level of access
  7. Review your selection and click "Configure access"
