Impacter Pathway's K-6 Benchmark Assessments provide video-based, interactive activities designed to measure elementary students' development of core character strengths and social-emotional competencies.
These assessments can be administered 4-8 times throughout the year, allowing schools to track student growth across our eight Anchor Attributes or custom attributes aligned with your school's specific goals. Our Anchor Attributes are Curiosity, Perspective-Taking, Purpose, Self-Control, Grit, Growth Mindset, Compassion, and Gratitude.
Key Features
- Video-Based Assessment: Students engage with engaging, developmentally appropriate content through presenter-led video prompts that measure development of key attributes.
- Flexible Administration: Choose to assess students 4-8 times per year based on your school's schedule and needs.
- Interactive Dashboard: Access comprehensive data visualizations and reports showing individual and class-wide progress across all eight Anchor Attributes.
- Core Attribute Measurement: Track student development using either our eight Anchor Attributes or custom attributes tailored to your school's unique character development goals.
Implementation Options to Consider
Station Rotation
- Establish a classroom rotation schedule where students cycle through different learning stations during the block (e.g., independent reading, math practice, writing center)
- Teacher manages one station dedicated to facilitating the benchmark assessment with small groups while others work independently at their assigned stations
Assessment Center
- Transform the school library or resource room into an inviting assessment space where counselors or support staff guide small groups of students
- Students visit throughout the day with their class or in small groups to complete their benchmarks in a calm, structured environment
Outdoor Spaces
- Set up a temporary assessment station at outdoor tables or gathering spaces, with support staff or counselors facilitating small groups
- Students rotate throughout the day with their class or in small groups to complete their benchmarks in a supported outdoor space
At-Home
- Provide families with clear guidance and simple setup instructions to help their child complete the benchmark in a comfortable space at home
- Students complete the assessment during a flexible window, working with parents/guardians at their own pace in their home environment
